A closer look,
at condition.

Start with the condition label, then check the front and back photos—the card pictured is the card you’ll receive.

The card pictured

The card in each listing is the card for sale. We don’t use stock photos, and we show the front and back whenever both photos are available.

Lighting, reflections and screen settings can change how colour and surface details appear. If a particular mark, edge or corner matters to you, contact us before purchasing.

Raw-card labels

NM

Near Mint

A clean card with only minor handling, print or edge imperfections visible on close inspection. Near Mint does not mean flawless or guaranteed to receive a particular grading result.

LP

Lightly Played

Light, noticeable wear such as small areas of edge whitening, faint surface marks or minor corner wear, while remaining attractive for a binder or collection.

MP

Moderately Played

More visible wear across edges, corners or surfaces. The card remains complete and collectable, but signs of handling are clear without close inspection.

HP

Heavily Played

Significant wear that may include heavier whitening, scratches, dents, bends or creases. The photos are especially important for understanding the exact card.

Graded cards

For a professionally graded card, the listing records the grading company and grade shown on the slab. The slab and card pictured are the items offered for sale. Grading standards can differ between companies and over time.

No grading promise

A raw-card condition label is Tanbini’s practical description, not a promise that a grading company will award the same grade or any particular numerical result. Grading companies may weigh centring, surfaces, print lines, edges and corners differently.

Use the zoomable listing photographs alongside the condition label, and email hello@tanbini.com if you would like clarification before buying.
